Fishing Charters
"The worst day of fishing is still better than the best day at work"
(David Stempko)
Fishing in and around the unexplored waters off Dirk Hartog Island is an experience most would only dream about! One of the main reasons for the amazing selection of gamefish at Dirk Hartog is the flow of warm water from the north, otherwise known as the Leeuwin Current. There is a good chance that those lucky enough to venture into these relatively uncharterd waters may encounter Pink Snapper, Baldchin Groper, Rankin Cod, Yellowfin Tuna or Spanish Mackeral and for the more patient anglers, a Sailfish or Marlin. Whether you want to brave the seas of the western coast of Dirk Hartog Island, or travel north to Turtle Bay, these unspoiled waters will not disappoint. Jetwave Boat Charters will ensure that your day out on the Eendracht is an experience to remember!

Dirk Hartog Island
Situated in the pristine World Heritage Area off the Shark Bay coast and just metres from the Shark Bay Marine Park, Dirk Hartog Island offers guests one of Australia’s most unique holiday experiences.
Dirk Hartog Island has a unique place within Australia’s European history, as it is the site of the first recorded European landing on Australian soil when Captain Dirk Hartog arrived on the "Eendracht" (meaning harmony) on October 25th 1616.
For those in seek of a relaxed environment, why not indulge and treat yourself to a stay at the exclusive Dirk Hartog Island Homestead? The Homestead is located within the original limestone shearer’s quarters, built over a century ago and offers five twin/double rooms and 2 twin rooms, all with en-suites and fully serviced on a daily basis to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 14 people.
Jetwave Boat Charters provides transfers between Denham and Dirk Hartog Island for all homestead guests. A 1¼hr cruise from Denham will see you arriving at the island and greeted by the friendly homestead guests awaiting your arrival.
If it is an outdoor adventure you are chasing, camping is the ultimate way to explore this unique island. There are six designated campsites around the island, allowing campers to set up a base and explore some of the island’s more remote locations. With over 250kms of off road tracks, one of the best ways to explore Dirk Hartog Island is by 4WD. Homestead and camping guests are able to have their 4WD vehicles brought over to the island from Shelter Bay at Steep Point on a 36 foot barge and as part of Dirk Hartog Island’s commitment to sustainable tourism, only eight 4WD’s are allowed onto the island at any one time, ensuring the island remains in pristine condition.
Abrolhos Islands
Located only three hours drive from Geraldton are some of the most incredible left and right hand reef breaks which wrap around the coral atolls called the Abrolhos Islands. "A full playground", over twenty waves on offer and one of the best right hand barrels on our coast, “super tubes”. These islands are acknowledged for producing a consistent quality swell from the south west which delivers a variety of waves for all levels of surfer. The Jetwave surf team will take you to unbelievable waves, amazing diving waters and some game fishing grounds that have to be seen to be believed.
Let’s go surfing………………….
